The Power of Full Figure Shapewear
You may wonder why I talk about shapewear as much as I do. This is a very long story. So don’t go anywhere.
I, like most women around the world, love Oprah. Who doesn’t? Anyone who could have done what she did in the time span she did it in would become a legend. It isn’t surprising that besides Michael Jackson, it’s the name Oprah that children and women worldwide recognize.
So I also was a chunky child. Well I guess I wasn’t enormous, but at one hundred and twenty-five pounds I definitely could not compete with all the skinny one hundred pound girls in my class. As a young teenager I avoided pool parties, disco parties, sleep overs, skating rings, school dances, sporting events, etc. I pretty much ducked out of all social situations that required me to wear form fitting clothes.
And thus as young girls were going on their first dates, getting kissed for the first time, and going to school dances I was watching Oprah reruns. Let me tell you- I loved Oprah.
So of course, I was screaming and jumping for joy when I watched an episode of Oprah which had a woman named Sara talking about her brand Spanx! . She’s talking about footless pantyhose, slimming apparel, and much more. So I Google her. And I find the answer to everything I’ve ever wanted- Full Figure Shapewear! It hits me like a freight train! As I frantically search the web for more information I realize that there’s something like full figure shapewear has existed since the 18th century. In the 18th century slimming apparel was called the foundation garment and was worn under long dresses. So brassieres and corsets of the 18the century are synonymous with today’s shapewear. With the grace of God, today’s shapewear is so much more comfortable that brassieres and corsets were. In fact, contrary to popular perception, when I wear Firm Shapewear I don’t feel constricted at all. In truth,I feel free. I sit straighter now, which makes my brain work better at work, I go on many more dates and I basically look great at all time.
And you wouldn’t believe, once I got my confidence, I began to want to look EVEN better. So basically, once I started wearing firm Shapewear, I began to want to push my body to improve. I started going to the gym instead of eating out at lunch. I engaged in healthier eating habits due to an increased love of my being. I quit drinking. I quit smoking. All I needed was that feeling of ‘not worrying’ constantly about my weight. Slimming Apparel did that for me. Once I was comfortable in my clothes I was able to completely transform my lifestyle.
I mean I guess you could debate that it’s actually my love of Oprah that transformed my life. Since I would never had scoured the internet for everything shapewear had it not been for that legendary Oprah episode.
So tell me. What do you think?
