There are a number of things that can be causes of memory loss. They include brain injury, dietary issues, age, illness, all sorts of potential causes. The way to treat problems with memory has much to do with the cause of the loss. My brother was in an accident a few years ago and damaged his longterm memory. For Donald, he can do simple day to day activities, and he even lives on his own but he has problems remembering things over long periods of time.
